As the years march on, we at Cutshall Funeral Home realize that we must prepare for the future while maintaining the service and traditions that have made us what we are. We knew that we needed to invest in smart, younger talent with the skills to provide the services desired by our modern society. We think Samantha Bullock is that person, and we are so excited about her future in funeral service.
Samantha is the daughter of Denise Turner (Jeff) and the late James Ray “Jimmy” Bullock. She grew up in Booneville and is engaged to J. D. Rogers of Altitude. Samantha graduated from Booneville High School in 2018 followed by Northeast MS Community College in 2019 with an Associate of Arts Degree in General Studies. She then attended Northwest MS Community College in 2021 where she earned an Associate of Applied Sciences Degree in Funeral Service Technology. In 2022, Samantha obtained her funeral service and crematory operator’s licenses. In the near future, she will complete the process to acquire her insurance license. She will serve our community working as a talented embalmer, funeral director, crematory operator, and pre-need agent.
Samantha enjoys crocheting, nature watching, playing with animals, and anything artistic. On why she chose the funeral profession, Samantha says, “Growing up, I lost a lot of people I was close to. Being in and out of funeral homes since I was four introduced me to the funeral world. Seeing how death and funerals affected my family, my friends, and me, I always wished there was something I could do to. As I got older, I realized there was. In the 7th grade, I began looking into jobs in the funeral profession. Once I finally graduated and began working, I knew there was nowhere else I’d rather be.” We wouldn’t want her to be anywhere else either.
