Strength of character and devotion to serving those in need are the hallmarks of the people we consider leaders, and no one represents those characteristics more than Bro. Jimmy Rich. His dedication to his Lord, his church, his family, and community have been shown throughout a lifetime of service to his fellow man. With a pastoral demeanor and wise counsel, Bro. Rich has been an invaluable asset to not only our funeral home, but to the entire community. We are blessed to have such a perfectly suited individual on our team.
Bro. James “Jimmy” Rich was born in Ripley and graduated from Walnut High School. In 1983, he and his wife, Barbara, made the move to Tishomingo County to become the pastor of Burnsville Pentecostal Church which has now become The Bridge at Burnsville. He has remained the senior pastor there for 39 years. Bro. Rich also serves as Tishomingo County Deputy Coroner and is very involved in community organizations such as Corinth Kiwanis.
Bro. Rich and Barbara, along with their children, Leanne Roberts (Jason) and Darren Rich, and grandchildren, Miley and Jathan, have made the Glen community their permanent home. He has worked in the funeral industry since 1992, and says, “I was privileged to be asked to come on board with Cutshall Funeral Home in 2004. To me this is just an extension of ministry as we are able to comfort, pray with, and advise families during what is probably the worst time of their life. I count it an honor to stand with our capable and professional staff to offer this service. Although this is a part time venture for me, caring for people in our community has always been full time.“ It is that full time commitment to serving his fellow man that makes men like Bro. Rich stand apart, and why we are a better organization with him on our team.
