“My great-grandmother, Gramby, is why I chose the funeral profession,” explains Rebecca. “I was fortunate enough to spend the last year of her life with her and was tasked with doing her hair and makeup when she passed. I felt an overwhelming sense of peace handling this monumental task and knew right then I had found my passion.” Rebecca followed the calling of a career in funeral service by enrolling at Northwest Mississippi Community College and graduated with an Associates Degree in Funeral Service Technology. Upon receiving her degree, Rebecca successfully completed the International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards National Board Exam and received her Mississippi Funeral Service License as well as her Mississippi Insurance License. She is currently employed at Cutshall Funeral Home as a fully licensed funeral director, embalmer, office manager, and preneed arrangement counselor. She is also the first Certified Crematory Operator working in Tishomingo County.
Rebecca grew up in Hatley, MS, and currently resides in the Leedy Community with her husband, John Lambert, and their daughter, Josephine Isabelle “Josie Belle” Lambert. She enjoys reading, music, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. Rebecca has made many lifetime friends through her job as a funeral director at Cutshall Funeral Home, and she has been told by many families that “God put you here for a reason.” We think so too.
