Virginia Mae Dean

Virginia Mae Dean, 89, died on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. She was born to the late Alonzo and Nancy Dexter Carson. She was a homemaker the majority of her life and was a member of Rocky Springs Methodist Church. She was the best Nanny to her grandchildren and great-grandsons.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka with the services following at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel. Rev. John Garrett will officiate the service with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Dianne McClung (Ben); two grandchildren, Stephanie Magee (Coke) of Guntown and Josh McClung (Laci) of Iuka; four great-grandsons, Tripp and Kyle Magee and Carson and Clark McClung.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, Billy Dean; her parents, Alonzo and Nancy Carson; and three sisters, Louise Honeycutt, Polly Turney, and Irene Butler.

Pallbearers will be Josh McClung, Coke Magee, Tripp Magee, Kyle Magee, Carson McClung, and Clark McClung.

Family requests that memorials be made to Rocky Springs Methodist Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
