Shirley Whitehurst

Shirley Whitehurst, 83, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home. Shirley was a member of Camp Ground United Methodist Church in Iuka and loved attending whenever she was able. In her free time, she enjoyed embroidering and quilting. Shirley is survived by her children, Michael Hurst, Deborah Smith, Debbie Gurley (Billy), Cynthia Hughes (Ronnie), and Jan Winters; her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; and her niece, Judy Tate. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Whitehurst; her parents; and her first husband, Gene Hurst. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Jerry Bonds. Pallbearers include Michael Hurst, Ronnie Hughes, Donnie Hurst, Alfred Hurst, and Joey Gurley. Interment will be in Box Chapel Cemetery.
