Charles Franklin Swimmer

Charles Franklin Swimmer, 76, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Saturday, April 2, 2022, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. Charles was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. He began his career in photography in the U. S. Air Force where he served three tours in Vietnam. He opened Photography by Charles in Iuka in 1975 and remained in business for 38 years. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Charlotte Presley Swimmer; two daughters, Rebecca “Becky” Smith (Brian) and Terri South (Mark); two granddaughters, Addie Smith and Breanna Freshour (Will); and three great-grandchildren, Alysa, Serenity, and Ollie Holley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Gerald “Jerry” and Bettie Briggs Swimmer; and two great-grandsons. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, April 8, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Sean Glidewell.
