Brandon Lyle Grissom

Brandon Lyle Grissom, 47, of Iuka, Mississippi, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. Brandon attended Iuka First United Pentecostal Church where he served as Children’s Pastor and also as a board member. He was also the Junior Camp Boys Dorm Director for the Mississippi District UPCI. Brandon was a firefighter for over 25 years with the Iuka Fire Department. He was the Tishomingo County District One Supervisor and a past-president of the Mississippi Association of Supervisors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was the instructor for 4-H shooting sports. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sherry Carter Grissom; his daughter, Miranda McDonald (Jesse) and their unborn daughter, Emersyn; his son, Reuben Grissom (Raegan Snodgrass); his step-mother, Hilda Grissom; his mother-in-law, Belinda Carter; his sister, Joy Melton (Blake); his brother, Brian Grissom (Christy); his sister-in-law, Amy Langford (Brady); his nephews, Cody Melton (Katie), Caleb Melton (Kara), Alex Grissom, Reily Grissom, Connor Grissom, and Dakota Hale; his nieces, Emalie Langford and Bekah Langford; his great-nephew, Michael Blake Melton; his CHAOS kids; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Ray Grissom and Lois Sanders Grissom; and his father-in-law, Raymond Carter. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Brandon’s last ride with the Iuka Fire Department will begin at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday at the Tishomingo County Courthouse and will pass down Front Street in Iuka. Friends are invited to pay their respects along the procession route to the church. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 17, at Iuka First Pentecostal Church. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, May 18, from 2:00 p.m. until service time. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 18, at 4:00 p.m., at Iuka First United Pentecostal Church, officiated by Bro. William Lambert. Pallbearers include the children of the church and community whose lives have been impacted by Brandon. The Iuka Fire Department will serve as honorary pallbearers. Memorials may be made in Brandon’s honor to the Children’s Ministry at the Iuka First United Pentecostal Church.
