Wylodene Grisham Bonds

Wylodene Bonds, 94, of Iuka, MS, died Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at her residence. Mrs. Bonds was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her great love was to make delicious meals and have her family around the dinner table. She loved gardening and growing vegetables but was most passionate about her flower garden. Spring and summer would find her there every day tending her beautiful blooms. It was during WWII she graduated from Burnsville High School, and after graduation she went to Oak Ridge, TN to work in the atomic bomb facility. When the war ended, her husband to be, Thomas Bonds came home, and they were married on April 1, 1946. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Bonds Curlee of Corinth; one son, Tommy Bonds (Wanda) of Iuka; four grandchildren, Brian Bonds, Bradley Bonds (Cindy), Brent Bonds, all of Iuka, and Anna Katherine Curlee of Huntsville, AL; two great grandchildren, Caroline and Connor Bonds; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Thomas H. Bonds; her parents, R.C. and Bryan Grisham; her brothers, Marvin and Harry Grisham; one sister, Grace McBride; and her son in law, Cullen “Len” Curlee. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Thursday, September 13, 2018, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 14, 2018, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Dennis Smith. Interment will follow in Hebron Cemetery. Pallbearers include Brian Bonds, Brad Bonds, Brent Bonds, Conner Bonds, Robbie Grisham, and James Grisham. Honorary bearers are Charles Bonds, Barry Grisham, Jerry Bonds, Gary Bonds, and Harold Boothe. A special thanks to Legacy Hospice and to all her caregivers, Pam Mackey and Dakota Hubbard who attended her every need and became more than caregivers, they became family.
