Wanda South Prewitt

Wanda Gaye South Prewitt, 77, of Iuka, MS passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Hospitality House in Iuka. Mrs. Wanda was a member of New Salem Baptist Church and enjoyed attending services. She was an avid college sports fan who loved watching football, baseball, and basketball. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog, Lucky. She is survived by her sister, Louise Lambert (Roger); her brothers, Sam South (Shelia) and Roy South (Annette); and her sister in laws, Brenda Wilmeth and Hilda Weddington (Gene); and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Prewitt; her parents, Clester and Allie Frances Scruggs South; and her son, James Brett Prewitt. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 10am until 11am at New Salem Baptist Church. Services are scheduled for 11am, Thursday, July 8, 2021 at New Salem Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Ron Norvell. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh Lambert, Jason Lambert, Keith Puckett, Dusty Puckett, Darryl Hazelwood, Jeff Hazelwood, Tyler Barnes, Richie Wilmeth, and Tanner Wilmeth. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Puckett and the New Salem Baptist Church Deacons. Donations may be made in Mrs. Wanda's honor to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
