Virginia Gattis

Virginia Gattis, 84, of Tishomingo, MS, passed away, Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. She was a member at Burgess Creek Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Danny Short. Interment will follow in Burgess Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Adam Gattis, Stanley Hester, Raymond Jones, Jackie McCoy, Scott McCallus, and Andy Crawford. Honorary pallbearers will be Marion Crawford and Hubert Jourdan. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. She is survived by her son, Danny Gattis (Patricia) of Tishomingo; her grandson, Adam Gattis of Tishomingo; her sister in law, Rachel Hester; her nephew, Stanley Hester; her niece, Deborah Fowler; and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlon Gattis; her parents, Howard and Ruby Horton Hester; and her brother, Virgil Hester.
