Peggy Cutshall passed away peacefully at her home on December 25, 2018, at the age of 94. She was born and reared in Weirton, West Virginia. After completing school, Peggy moved to Washington, D.C. and began a career with the telephone company. It was there she met and married her husband, George William Cutshall, Sr. Needing to return to Iuka to help with the family business, he convinced Peggy that this move would be short in duration and they would return to Washington. That was August of 1949. Iuka became a home where they stayed and raised three sons and enjoyed sharing in the lives of six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is survived by two sons, Larry Cutshall (Janice) and Charlie Cutshall (Pam), both of Iuka; one sister, Eileen Zinaich of Weirton, West Virginia; six beloved grandchildren, Trey Cutshall (Dena) of Ringgold, GA, Jason Cutshall (Trish) of Iuka, Tiffany Lowery of Iuka, Cassie Robinson (Bryan) of Iuka, Alan Cutshall (Brittney) of Iuka, and Jenna Cutshall of Memphis, TN; eight great grandchildren, Hogan and Chloe Cutshall, Cassidy and Cooper Lowery, Lila Kate and Will Cutshall, Tyler Cutshall and Dylan Robinson; and two sister in laws, Mary Leon Davis of Iuka and Ola Hobart of Memphis. She was preceded in death by her husband, George William Cutshall, Sr.; her son, George William “Butch” Cutshall, Jr.; her great grandson, Austin Lowery; her parents, Dennis and Catherine Cassidy; her brothers, Jack, Charles, and Danny Cassidy; and her in laws, Lawrence and Otha Cutshall. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 27, 2018, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Rev. Kerry Powell. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Trey Cutshall, Jason Cutshall, Alan Cutshall, Bryan Robinson, Tyler Cutshall, and Hogan Cutshall. Honorary bearers will be Dylan Robinson, Will Cutshall, and Cooper Lowery.
