Noel C. “Red” South, 92, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Thursday, December 9, 2021, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. Mr. South was a member of the Iuka Baptist Church and was retired from the Dana Corporation in Corinth. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his dog, Jake. He also enjoyed gardening and yard work, as well as helping others. He is survived by one daughter, Nancy Stripling (Bobby) of Iuka; three grandchildren, Evan Stripling, Ethan Stripling, and Heather Marks (Doug); and three great-grandchildren, Noah Marks, Peyton Marks, and Levi Marks. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Edmondson South; his parents, Estes and Audie Belue South; a son, Sammy South; six brothers, J. T., Wallace, Bobby Joe, Mackey, Charles, and Truman South; and two sisters, Earnestine Trimble and Melvoline Walker. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 13, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Johnny Hancock. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Evan Stripling, Ethan Stripling, Dwayne Walker, David Walker, D. J. Walker, Taylor Walker, Rudy Cordoba, and Mark Baldwin. Honorary pallbearers include Kyle Wimberly, Bobby Paden, Mack Lloyd Wadkins, Joe Walker, Donnie Williams, Garvin Walker, Rodger Trimble, and Anthony Edmondson. Visitation is scheduled for 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 12, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka.
