Michael Edward "Big'N" Parrish

Michael “Big’n” Parrish, 51, of Iuka, MS, died Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at his residence. Michael was known to his family and friends as “Big’n”. The greatest joys of his life were his grandsons, Mason and Brady, and spending time with them. Michael never met a stranger and loved striking up a conversation with new people. He also enjoyed working on and fixing things such as big trucks and heavy equipment. Michael could operate any type of equipment that was put in front of him. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 21, at Poplar Springs Freewill Baptist Church in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Scotty McCay. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jerry Konczal, Jerry Melson, Greg Parrish, Jason McMeans, Jeremy Melson, David Byrd, Darrell Bullard, and Chris Neal. Honorary pallbearers include Nicky McRae, Ronald “Runt” McLemore, Lloyd Wayne Parrish, David Parrish, Allen Parrish, Jimmy Joslin, Dean McQuitty, and John Ross. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Friday, October 20, at Poplar Springs Freewill Baptist Church in Iuka. Visitation will continue on Saturday, from 11 a.m. until time of service. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Cindy Parrish; his mother, Otha Mae Parrish; his daughter, Jessica Parrish Seaton (Chris); his grandsons, Mason Seaton and Brady Seaton; a sister, Sandra Harstad (Greg); his nieces, Amy McQuitty (Crystal) and Lisa McQuitty; his great niece, KayLeigh McNamee; and a host of close special friends and other family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Horace Edward Parrish; and his grandparents, Chester and Vosta Parrish and Jessie and Mary Meeks.
