Michael Wayne Chaffin

Michael Wayne Chaffin died, Monday, July 2, at NMMC in Iuka.  Michael was born November 3, 1965 in Berwyn, Illinois to Margie Thorne Chaffin and the late Bobby Wayne Chaffin. Michael was a 1983 graduate of Iuka High School and attended Northeast MS Community College.  After attending Northeast, Michael worked for Hunter Douglas and UPS. He was a former member of Boilermaker Local 263 out of Memphis, TN.  He was an avid MS State and Dallas Cowboys fan and a devoted follower of NASCAR.  He loved grilling outdoors and spending time on the lake. Survivors include his Mother Margie of Iuka, his daughter Courtney Chaffin of Corinth, his sister Camille Whitehead (Phillip) of Tishomingo, and his nephew Butler Whitehead of Tishomingo. He is also survived by several Aunts and Uncles.  Michael was preceeded in death by his Father Bob Chaffin, his grandparents Nonan and Luverta Chaffin and Leonard and Marie Thorne. A memorial service will take place at Tishomingo Baptist Church on Thursday, July 5 ^th at 1 pm.  A reception will be held immediately following the memorial service.
