May Alice Potts Guffey

On Friday 22 October the Lord called the name of May Alice Guffey to come home.  She joined her beloved husband Hugh and together with her brothers and sisters she walked into heaven with the Lord.  May passed in her sleep and suffers no more.  May is survived by her two daughters Lisa and Paula.  May has five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and was the most amazing loving woman.

There will be a small graveside service for immediate family at the Corinth Military Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband Hugh who was a decorated WWII and the Korean War veteran.

There will be a public Celebration of Life service for all those who knew and loved her at the Strickland Baptist Church in Corinth on Saturday 30 October from 11am until 1pm.

May has asked for a simple ceremony with no flowers, just family and friends gathered to remember and honor her with fellowship and food and Love.  Please bring a covered side dish to share if you can.

May lived on this earth for 76 years, 3 months, and 15 days.   She is now walking with no pain holding the hand of the Lord and her family that has gone before her.
