Maureen Roland, 85, of Iuka, MS passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and watching the Hallmark channel. She was an incredible bowler and was the first lady to get a 295 at Imperial Bowling in Memphis, TN. She was a proud supporter of Tishomingo County School Basketball and enjoyed watching Memphis Grizzlies basketball and the NBA. She was a great cook and her proudest accomplishment was her family, especially her great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Monice Roland and Maurita Roland; her grandchildren, Cory Glidewell (Nikki), Christy Glidewell, Jeremy Glidewell (Misty), Andrea Dimond (Jeff), and Joseph Roland; eight great grandchildren, Justin Glidewell, Kylie Glidewell, Ava Vanlandingham, Chloe Glidewell, Maggie Young, Jade Glidewell, Cam Glidewell, and AJ Glidewell; a special great niece, Shelly Hopkins; and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James L Roland; her parents, Ernest and Thelma Honeycutt DeFoor; two sons, Randy Roland and Ricky Roland; a great grandchild, Jerica Hubartt; and three sisters, Earnesteen Hubbard, Alene Highland, and Villa Dean Wegner. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Patrick Cemetery, officiated by Bro. Larry Dollar. Burial will be in Patrick Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rusty Adams, Connor Bonds, Bruce Glidewell, Darrell Hopkins, Caleb Huggins, and Chris Thompson.
