Margaret June Morris Burnett

Margaret June (Morris) Burnett born June 25, 1950, lay at rest Sunday, November 26, 2017 at home after battle with an extended illness.

June graduated Burnsville High School with Honors in 1968. She worked for ITT / Cortelco for over 40 years.

June loved her family, her friends, flowers and football. She loved to cook, and she touched many lives with her special dishes. She is loved by all who knew her faith, tenacity and wit.

She was an active member of Harmony United Methodist Church, where she served various board positions throughout the years and taught Sunday school for many years. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Harmony United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until service time on Thursday, November 30 at the church. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka is entrusted with arrangements.

She is preceded in death by her father Milford Morris; a brother, Danny R. Morris; and her grandparents, Mr. C.S. and Mrs. Mary (Ray) Cresap and Mr. Millard and Mrs. Lou (Price) Morris.

She is survived by her mother, Jennie Ray (Cresap) Morris of Iuka; her daughter, Karen Burnett Jenkins and husband, Paul Jenkins; her granddaughter, Emma Jenkins, all of Tupelo;
her brothers, Carl Morris and wife, Pam, of Iuka, and Tommy Morris and wife, Kelly, of Columbus, GA; her special nephews, Brandon Morris and Brian Morris and wife, Morgan, both of Iuka; her special niece, Marea Wilson and husband, Tommy, of Corinth; her great nephew, Preston Cline and wife, Tatum, of Starkville; her great niece, Olivia Wilson of Corinth; her best friend, Marcell Senter of Iuka; and her beloved neighbors, Bobby and Janice Welch.

Harmony United Methodist Church Ladies Retreat was a special project close to June, started by the ladies of Harmony 14 years ago, their 14th annual retreat will be held in January.
