Mabel Magdalene Bonds, 83, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Magdalene was born on December 21, 1936 to Arthur and Mabel Holt Floyd. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved spending time with and cooking for her family and church family. She was especially known for her fried pies. She was a member of Iuka United Pentecostal Church, and loved reading her Bible, flowers, and working in her yard. She was retired from Genesco following 25 years of employment. She is survived by two daughters, Diane Walters (Delbert) of Iuka, and Anita Earnest (Jack) of Houston; one brother, William Earl Floyd (Marie) of Iuka; three grandchildren, Misty Martin (Ray), Craig Farris (Anna), and Amanda Carter (Jimmy); two step-grandchildren, Noah Martin and Ben Earnest; and five great-grandchildren, Kaylee Gist, William Farris, Miley Farris, Maddy Farris, and Gracelyn Carter. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Toy Bonds; a grandson, Bradley Farris; her parents, Arthur and Mabel Holt Floyd; and a sister, Peggy Spoon. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 2, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. William Lambert and Bro. Trent Flatt. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Craig Farris, Jimmy Carter, Ray Martin, Brian Grissom, Andy Floyd, and Mike Spoon.
