Our beautiful angel, “Liz” Mary-Alice Elizabeth “Booka” Stephens, gained her heavenly wings on Sunday, May 12, 2019. She was at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Liz was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church. Liz’s smile lit up the world for anyone who knew her. No matter how bright the day, the world will always be a little dimmer now. Liz enjoyed riding on her “Liz-a-Boat”, listening to Scooby Doo, cuddling, feeling the sunshine, singing with her sister, and spending time with her family. Left to enjoy her memories are her Daddy and Mommy, John and Sheryl Stephens; her sister, Carrlie; her niece, Charlottee; her Pops and Mamaw, Jim and Yvonne Russell; her Grandmother, Wanda Whirley; and many cousins, and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her Papaw, Kendall Stephens and her Papaw Eddie Whirley. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Jamie Nanney. Interment will follow in Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include her Uncle Teddy Whirley and cousins, Dylan Whirley, Logan Barmer, and Travis Williams.
