Linda Mae South Puckett, 83, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Friday, June 11, 2021, at her residence. Mrs. Puckett was an active member of New Salem Baptist Church and was retired from Ripley Industries. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She is survived by one son, Michael Puckett (Rhonda) of Iuka; one daughter, Sheree Stephens of Iuka; one sister, Sue Hill (Holbert) of Cabot, AR; four grandchildren, Dr. Leigh Anne Stephens of Denver, CO, Derek Stephens (Carrie) of Oxford, Carlee Harrison (Joshua) of Corinth, and Eli Puckett of Iuka; and four great-grandchildren, Harper Stephens, James Stephens, Gabriel Harrison, and Grae Harrison, who is due to be born at any time. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Puckett; her parents, J. B. and Nellie Grisham South; and three brothers, Hursal South, Herbert South, and Troy South. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 14, at New Salem Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Ron Norvell and Bro. Ted Vafeas. Interment will follow in New Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers include Greg McGee, Charles Hendrix, James Lowell Barnes, Pejoe Arnold, Keith Puckett, and Phillip South. Visitation is scheduled for 12:00 until 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 14, at New Salem Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to New Salem Baptist Church Building Fund.
