Linda Jean Johns

Linda Jean South Johns, 77, of Tishomingo, Mississippi, died on Monday, August 8, 2022, at North Mississippi Medical Center – Iuka. She worked at Sears in Memphis until retirement, upon which time she spent her days with her family. She was a lively woman and loved to pull jokes on her family, especially her brother Dwight. During her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, embroidering, cross-stitch, and reading. She began attending Bethlehem Baptist Church whenever her brother became the preacher, and she stayed a member until her passing. Mrs. Johns is survived by her brother, Dwight South (Peggy); her nephews, Kevin South (Brenda), Adam South (Crystal), and Kelly South (Nicole); her niece, Kristi Hicks (Mark); her sister-in-law and wife of Donald Ray, Louise South; a host of great-nieces and great-nephews, and many other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Johns; her parents, William Albert and Ravill Mock South; and her older brother, Donald Ray South. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2022, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS. Funeral services will be immediately after at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Bro. Dwight South. Pallbearers include Adam South, Kelly South, Chandler South, Kevin South, Mark Hicks, and Sonny Johns. Interment will follow at Palestine Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Johns’ honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a military charity of donor’s choice.
