Randal Arnold, 72, of Iuka, MS, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019, at the Carrington House in Iuka. The world has lost another selfless, kind person. A graveside service is set for Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. in Snowdown Methodist Church Cemetery in Iuka with full military honors, officiated by Bro. Roger Wood. Interment will follow in Snowdown Cemetery. Mr. Arnold was born in Prentiss County to the late Ockless adn Marvin Arnold as one of ten children. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served honorably in the Vietnam War. Before retirement, he worked as a truck driver for Jourdan's Lumber Company, Nunley Trucking, and Wardlow Logging. He loved his work and enjoyed being busy. Randal will forever be remembered as a loving father, brother, and grandfather, and as a hero to his siblings. He was a good friend and neighbor to everyone. Randal was a self-taught mechanic who also enjoyed planting a garden and enjoying the outdoors. He was happiest when he was on a lawnmower as he could mow grass "like nobody's business!" One of his last requests to his friends and family members were for them to leave him "a few kind words", which they were glad to write down for him to read and enjoy. Survivors include two sons, Jeremy Arnold (Natalie), Jimmy Arnold, 5 grandchildren, Olivia, Landon, Charlie, Jordan, and Payton Arnold; 5 sisters, Dale Potts, Martha McNair, Cindy Rorie, Marty Marlar, and Nancy Holland; 3 brothers, Merle, Gene, and Harold Arnold; and one great grandchild, Malia Arnold. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lomenick Arnold; his parents, Marvin and Ockless Arnold; and an infant brother, Sonny. The family would like to thank Kindred Hospice and The Carrington House for their loving care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, spend time with your children, hug your grandchildren, help out a neighbor in need and be kind to others. He would have wanted that! Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. An online guestbook can be accessed at www.cutshallfuneralhome.com.
