Jerrel Washington Spoon, 77, of Burnsville, MS passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports on television, and spending time with his family. He was a member at Antioch Baptist Church. He is survived by his sister, Jane Davis (Mike); his brothers, Tommy Spoon (Sheila), Paul Spoon (Barbara), and Carl Spoon (Tamara); his brother in law, Billy Joe Taylor (Donna); a special friend, Doyle Rorie; his nieces and nephews, Jeremy Spoon, Kevin Spoon, Mickey Spoon, Timothy Spoon, Chris Davis, and Lori McCommon; and his great nieces and nephews, Talon, McKenzie, Jonathan, Benjamin, Lincoln, Creed, Cayden, Mason, Laken, Josh, Stephen, Caleb, Anna, Kayla, T.J., and Robby. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Lois Whitaker Spoon; his sister, Norma Taylor; his sister in law, Marie Spoon; and his nephews, Eddie Joe Taylor and Tony Taylor. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. A private family service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Antioch Cemetery, with Bro. Mike Edwards officiating.
