Jennica "Jay" Shante Nelson

Jennica Shante "Jay" Nelson, 37, of Iuka, Mississippi, peacefully departed from this world on Friday, June 14, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on August 11, 1986, in Delray Beach, FL, to Jacqueline and Roney Nelson. Recently, Jennica moved to Iuka to be closer to her family and started attending First Missionary Baptist Church. Her favorite pastimes included crafts and watching television. She loved watching "In the Heat of the Night" and relaxing with a book to color in. Jennica is survived by her parents, Jacqueline and Roney Nelson; her children, Daijaah Brown and Tommie Nelson; her grandfather, Jack Denson; her sister, Jessica Nelson; her uncle, Travis "Bubba" Denson; and a host of other loved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Naomi Denson. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements.
