Jay "Pop Pops" Goodman, 60, of Iuka, Mississippi died Sunday, March 6, 2022, at his residence. Mr. Goodman served 24 years in the U.S. Navy fulfilling many roles including aviation technician and instructor. Upon retiring, he spent his days playing World of Warships. He was the founder and leader of the Doink Clan which is currently ranked 79th in the world. He also loved to spend time with his family and drink coffee at Shell. Mr. Goodman is survived by his two daughters, Kristen Cary(Ross) and Tonia Gerdes; his son, Aaron Goodman(Beth); his brother, Robert Goodman; his niece, Rebecca Calvary(Cam), his great-nephew, Elijah Faulkner; and seven grandchildren, Collin Cary, Reign Greely, Gabriel Goodman, Athena Gerdes, Arabella Gerdes, Caleb Cary, and Freya Goodman. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cynthia Goodman; and his parents, Seymore Goodman and Judy Midkiff. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 18, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka. Services are scheduled immediately after at 11:00 a.m. at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Corinth National Cemetery.
