James Calvin "Junior" Barber, Jr., 63, of Iuka, MS passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. He enjoyed being a cattle farmer with his son, cooking, and being Coach "Poppy" to his grandchildren's softball and baseball teams. He was a member of "The Bridge at Burnsville" and enjoyed being involved in all aspects of the church that he could be. His family was his pride and joy and he loved to spend as much time with them as possible. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Tucker Barber; his daughter, Sabrina Hyde (Josh); his son, James Derek Barber (Haley); his sisters, Loyce Holley (Jamie), Hazel Harris, and Johnnie Carter (Ralph); his brother, Boyce Barber (Joyce); his grandchildren, Alaina Hyde, Cash Hyde, Weslyn Barber, and Wyatt Barber; a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members; and the Runnin' Wild softball team. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Calvin Barber, Sr. and Bessie Mae Taylor Barber; his brother, Calvin Barber; and his sister, Rose Owens. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, October 23, 2020 from 5pm until 8pm at "The Bridge at Burnsville". Services are scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 2pm at "The Bridge at Burnsville", officiated by Bro. James Rich and Bro. Jeff Jones. Burial will be in Grissom Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Junior's nephews. Donations may be made in Junior's honor to "The Bridge at Burnsville Youth Fund" or to the "Build A Bridge" fund.
