Irene Locke

Irene Locke, 88, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Friday, December 24, 2021, at Southern Magnolia Estates in Iuka. Mrs. Locke was a lifelong member of New Salem Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School secretary. She was retired from Burnsville Headstart. She loved flowers and yardwork. She is survived by three sons, Jerry Locke (Lisa), Norman Locke (Teddie), and Robert Locke; one brother, Seldon Welch, Jr.; one sister, Gwen Turbeville; two grandchildren, Logan Locke and Matthew Locke (Leah); and one great-grandchild, Madelyn Locke. She was preceded in death by her husband, D. W. “Curly” Locke; and her parents, Seldon and Lena Wood Welch. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 28, graveside at New Salem Cemetery, officiated by Bro. Ron Norvell. Interment will follow in New Salem Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 28, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Memorials may be made to New Salem Cemetery.
