Irene Carson Butler

Irene Carson Butler, 93, a longtime resident of Iuka, Mississippi, died Thursday, April 15, 2021, at Dogwood Plantation Assisted Living in Corinth. She attended Rocky Springs United Methodist Church. She is survived by three sons, William Curtis Butler (Ada) of Florence, MS, Walter Don Butler (Michelle) of Eastview, TN, and John Andrew Butler (Louanne) of Corinth, MS; two sisters, Polly Carson Turney of Shreveport, LA, and Virginia Carson Dean of Iuka, MS; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Curtis Walter Butler; her parents, Lonzo and Nancy Dexter Carson; and a sister, Louise Carson Honeycutt. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 17, graveside at Oak Grove Cemetery, officiated by Bro. Jerry Bonds. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
