Ida Diane Roberts, 86, of Burnsville, Mississippi, died Friday, November 15, 2024, at her residence. Ida lived in Chicago for most of her life prior to getting married and moving to Burnsville, where she was formerly employed at The Gold Mine. She later worked at the Tishomingo Shoe Company and The Drapery and Bed Factory in Iuka. She enjoyed baking and loved making cupcakes for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved Christmas and always had her home decorated before Thanksgiving. She would have the children from Burnsville School come and view the household decorations each year while enjoying a snack. Ida was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Roberts; a son, Joey Clarkson, II (Ann); a stepson, Edward Roberts (Carolyn); a stepdaughter, Rhea Quillen (Mike); three sisters, Mary Ann Woodard, Diane Anton (Nick), and Lucille Watz (Paul); nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Armeo and Gertrude Heeg Tomassi; two sons, Jeffery Clarkson and James Clarkson; one grandchild, Candy Wells; one great-grandchild, Jade Wilbanks; a stepdaughter, Becky Coln; two sisters, Leona Pauss and Florence Thomas; and four brothers, Raymond Thomas, Frank Thomas (Mary), Joseph Thomas (Mary), and Louis Tomassi. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 18, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen, officiated by Bro. Franky Smith. Pallbearers include Mike Epperson, Nicky McRae, Chris Tucker, Tanner Clarkson, Paul Watz, and Brian Strickland. Eason Strickland will serve as honorary pallbearer Interment will follow in Rowland Mills Cemetery.
