Thomas Hunter Hobbs, 27, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Saturday, June 25, 2022. Hunter was a gifted guitarist and harmonica player and was a welder by trade. He loved turkey and deer hunting, as well as fishing, with his Papaw, little brother, and Dad. He also loved his dog, Sassy, and the family cat, Littlefoot. Hunter took care of and was the protector of his family. He enjoyed spending time with them all, especially his Papaws. He also enjoyed motorcycles and riding his Harley Davidson. He is survived by his parents, Joey and Christy Davis Hobbs; his grandfathers, Talmadge “Red” Hobbs (Emily) and E. C. Davis; two brothers, Fischer Hobbs and Joe Hobbs; one sister, Malerie Hobbs Taylor (John); two uncles, Keith Davis (Beverly) and Todd Davis (Tammy); two aunts, Laura Smith (Jerry) and Lisa Corey (Randy); a niece, Vaeda Hobbs; a nephew, James Wesley Taylor; a newborn niece, Nora Thomas Taylor; and eight cousins, Andrea Jaggars (Stephen), Ashlee Garrett (Adam), Josh Davis, Brandi Smith Davis, Cody Smith, Channing Holland, Chelsea Lomenick, and Hayes Horn. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Barbara Duncan Davis and Virginia Wadkins Hobbs; and an uncle, Jeff Hobbs. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Thursday, July 7, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Sean Glidewell. A motorcycle procession led by Hunter’s lifelong friend, Barry Finch, will accompany the family to Mt. Evergreen Cemetery for interment. Pallbearers include Todd Davis, Joseph Hobbs, Fischer Hobbs, Josh Davis, Channing Holland, Cody Smith, Dallas Holloway, and Collin Wright. Honorary pallbearers include Joey Hobbs, Talmadge Hobbs, E. C. Davis, and Keith Davis. Visitation is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home on Thursday. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
