Horace "Peanut" Eugen Thorn

Horace Eugen "Peanut" Thorn, 79, of Iuka, MS passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville, MS. Peanut enjoyed working, camping, and spending time with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of the Iuka Church of Christ. Peanut was also a life long car salesman. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jo Ann Morris Thorn; his son, Michael Thorn (Shelly); his grandchildren, Kayla Thorn (James Marshall), Dylan Thorn, and Tyler Perry; his great grandchildren, Anabelle Henry, Madalynn Thorn, and Camdyn Marshall; and a host of special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arvin and Carrie Thorn; his sisters, Katie Mae Coltart, Helen Presley, and Vernell Winchester; and his brother, Joe Thorn. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, December 5, 2020 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Iuka Church of Christ. Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the Iuka Church of Christ, officiated by James Joyce. Burial will be in Maud Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dylan Thorn, James Marshall, Craig Grubbs, A.C. Winchester, Tony Thorn, and Dwan Barnes. Honorary pallbearers will be David Lee, Jerry Lee, Dexter Winchester, Eric Bostick, and Daniel Morris. Donations may be made in Peanuts honor to the Maud Cemetery Fund.
