Ernesteen Hardwick

Ernesteen Hardwick, 87, of Iuka, MS, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2019 at Region One Health in Memphis, TN. She enjoyed sewing, working in her flower gardens, and listening to music. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving caretaker who helped raise many neighborhood children, as well as her own. She had many friends and people who loved her dearly. She was also a member of Mt. Joy Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Hardwick Whitaker; her sons, Charles Hardwick, Larry Hardwick, and Randy Hardwick (Janice); her grandchildren, Carey Valderrama (Ron), Jonathan Hardwick, Jeremy Hardwick (Natalie), Justin Hardwick, Katelyn Hardwick, Jordan Hardwick, Tiffany Hardwick, Candy Kelly (Mike), Jason Price, and Daniel Sowards; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and her special nieces, Genice Jones (Lester), Brenda Holt (Mike), Sandra Cain (John), and Lisa Johnson (Tim). She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Hardwick; her parents, Eugene and Linnie Mae Ham Puckett; her sister, Evateen Brumley; her brother, Winford Puckett; her granddaughter, Tina Hardwick; and her daughter-in-law, Sheila Hardwick. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 4, 2019, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 5, 2019, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Roger Wood and Bro. Donovan Cain. Interment will follow in Cypress Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jonathan Hardwick, Jeremy Hardwick, Justin Hardwick, Jordan Hardwick, Daniel Sowards, and Mike Holt. Honorary pallbearers include Logan Harris and Jason Price. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that all donations be made in Mrs. Ernesteen’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
