Eleanor Long, 76, of Iuka, MS, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. Mrs. Eleanor’s favorite pastime was her grandchildren. She attended every ball game and extracurricular activity. She also enjoyed being on the go, whether that be going shopping or exercising at the wellness center. She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Cornelison (Chris); her sons, Ricky Long (Jill) and Ronnie Long (Susan); her grandchildren, Alex Cornelison, Megan Cornelison, Molly Mathis (Cory), Maggie Long, Madelyn Long, Emily Cunningham (David), Jessica Dixon (Blake), and Stephanie Hotle (Tony); her great grandchildren, Owen Mathis and Mariana Dixon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Long, Sr.; her parents, Alton and Ruth Rodgers Parker; her son, Jerry Long, Jr.; her sister, Mildred Raymond; and her brother, Robert Parker. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka from 6pm until 9pm. Services are scheduled for Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka at 1pm. Interment will be in Lindsey Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cory Mathis, David Cunningham, Blake Dixon, Jerry Gattuso, Michael Gattuso, and Kenny Phifer. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Boggs and Barry Boggs.
