Dannie Lee Davis

Dannie Lee Davis, 98, of Burnsville, Mississippi, died on Monday, August 7, 2023, at her grand-daughter’s house. For over 20 years, Mrs. Dannie was a member of Berea Church of Christ and was very active. She jumped at the chance to help out anytime she was able, whether it was getting the Lord’s Supper ready, cooking for different events, or anything. She was a woman of many talents and could cook, sew, and garden like no other. Her chocolate pies and hand-made quilts were popular among everyone that knew her. Her house was always full of love as she found so much joy in taking care of her family. Mrs. Dannie is survived by her son, Jerry Davis; her grandchildren, Dana Denise Davis, William Christopher Davis, Angela Nicole Moore (Jim), Jerry Samuel Davis, Matthew Lane Davis, Wesley Corey Davis (Becca), Angel Haven McCoy (Ryan), and Dustin Quinn Evans (Stacey); her great-grandchildren, Russell Spain, Tanya Lewis (Jeremy), Cody Davis (Tashara), Adriana Wright, Dylan Baswell, James Holman, Landen McCoy, Hunter McCoy, Dixie McCoy, Layla Evans, Noah Evans, and Adalyn Evans; and her great-great-grandchildren, Maddi-Faye Wright and Kati Wright. She was preceded in death by her husband, W.C. Davis; her daughter, Judy Davis; her parents, William Cliff and Ella Bea Raper; and her siblings, Lois Brown, Johnny Mae Hall, Virginia Robbins, and James Raper. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen. Visitation will continue from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 11, 2023, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Glen. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, officiated by Bro. Chad Bowen. Pallbearers include Samuel Davis, Matthew Davis, Cody Davis, Russell Spain, Dustin Evans, and Landen McCoy. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
