Coy Daily, 89, of Iuka, Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at his residence. Coy dedicated over 30 years of his professional life as a pipe fitter for the Tennessee River Papermill. His strong work ethic and commitment to his profession were matched only by his love for his family and community, for which he proudly served four years in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion and a longtime member of Iuka Church of Christ devoting many years as an elder. Coy enjoyed spending time outside, especially working in his garden. Every year, he grew one full of fruits and vegetables that he often gave away. He also enjoyed watching sports, particularly when they were played by Ole Miss or his grandchildren. He loved his family, and whether he was watching their sports or taking a trip to the mountains, he cherished each moment he got to spend with them. Coy is survived by his beloved wife, Martha Daily; his daughters, Pam Brown (Chris) and Donna Mathis (Chuck); his grandchildren, Jamie Brown, Kelly Trest (Josh), Whitney Smith (Cagle), and Cory Mathis (Molly); his great-grandchildren, Aiden Brown, Chloe McKee, Laken McKee, Bentley Smith, Karson Smith, Ember Trest, Onyx Trest, Owen Mathis, and Knox Mathis; three nephews, one niece, and a host of other loved family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cloud and Etta Daily; his brother, T.M. Daily; and his sister, Verda Parrish. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Iuka Church of Christ. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, at Iuka Church of Christ, officiated by Lance Foster. Pallbearers include Jamie Brown, Aiden Brown, Cory Mathis, Cagle Smith, Josh Trest, and Bentley Smith. Interment will be in Forest Grove Cemetery.
