Chester Howard Helton, age 87 of Nashville, TN, formerly of Iuka, Mississippi, passed away Friday, April 19, 2019. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Intex Plastics in Corinth, Mississippi. He had a strong faith and enjoyed ministering to others about Jehovah God. He was a lover of animals who enjoyed raising beagles and listening to them run. He loved fishing, attending his grandson’s soccer and basketball games, and spending time with his little dog Trixie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Agnes Helton; his brothers, Worley and Bill Helton; his sister Juanita Sherrill; and his grandson, Corey Lynn Helton. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lillie Mae Helton; his son, Lynn Helton of Iuka, Mississippi, his daughter, Tammy (Barrett) Hobbs; his grandson, Harrison Lynn Hobbs of Nashville, Tennessee; his sister, Peggy Feltman of Glen, Mississippi; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Visitation is scheduled from 3 PM to 5 PM on Tuesday, April 30, 2019. A memorial service will follow at 5 PM at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS.
