Charles A. Smith, 80, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, died on Monday, July 10, 2023, at Maury Regional Health Center in Columbia, TN. Charles was a member of Gandy Church of Christ in Lawrenceburg and served in the National Guard for 4 years. Throughout his life, Charles worked on and off as a carpenter, building houses and other things for people as needed. However, he also worked as a mail carrier for twenty of those years. In his free time, Charles loved going fishing, watching football, and playing with his 3 dogs. He also greatly enjoyed watching and feeding the fish and the deer that lived around his property. Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Pamela Smith; his grandchildren, Preston Lindsey (Joy), Krysten Kerr (Logan), and Zachary Lindsey (Jade); his great-grandchildren, Emmalynn, Greyson, and Amelia Lindsey, Brinleigh and Briar Kerr, and Ava, Catalina, Keaton, Nevaeh, and Brylee Lindsey; his brother-in-law, Tommy Hall (the late Annette); his cousin, Brenda Sue King (Richard); and his cherished furry friend, Boo Boo. He was preceded in death by his sons, Haven Hall Smith and Hayden Blake Smith; his parents, Charles E. and Georgia Smith; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Elwood and Quay Hall. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Little Flock Cemetery, officiated by Gerald Glidewell and Larry Murdock. Pallbearers include Preston Lindsey, Logan Kerr, Jonathan Burnett, and Dion Amerson. Interment will be in Little Flock Cemetery.
