Carley Sue Scruggs

Carley Sue Scruggs, 77, of Iuka, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, working with flowers, canning, and going to church. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Hampton (Sam); her grandson, Dr. Alex Hampton; her sister in law, Brenda Leatherwood; her special friends, Herman Potts; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her dog, Sweetie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Harold Scruggs; her parents, Curtis and Mary Alice Gresham Leatherwood; her brother, J.W. Leatherwood; and her parents in law, Mr. and Mrs. G.C. Scruggs. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Bobby Johnson. Interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard Speers, George Gresham, Bob Gresham, Gary Bostick, Martin Wright, and J.C. Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Morris and Lean Utley. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Memorials may be made in Carley’s honor to the Mt. Moriah Cemetery Fund.
