Bro. Joe Hardwick

Bro. Joe Hardwick, 77, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday morning, December 27, 2021, after an extended illness. Joe was a Vietnam War Veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He was also a loving husband and father who enjoyed fishing, camping, and working in the yard and was an exceptionally talented artist. Over the years he has painted several church murals around the area. Joe served as pastor of Rowland Mills Baptist Church, filled in for a short time at Hubbard Salem Baptist Church and also pastored Mount Glory Baptist Church for 20 years before having to retire due to health problems. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty and son Tony along with special friends Ginger, Raegan and Kagan Potts; sisters, Mary Hardwick, Ann Whitfield, and Susie Lambert; along with a host of nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Mack and Mattie Bullard Hardwick; sisters, Millie Jean Crowe, Betty Wilemon, Mackophene Hale, Druzella Wilbanks; and his brothers, Herbert, Tommy, Jack, Truman and David Hardwick. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, December 30, 2021, from 11am until 2pm, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen. Services are scheduled for Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 2pm, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen, officiated by Bro. Kenny Morgan. Burial will follow in Hubbard Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Russ Lambert, Chase Lambert, Randy Hardwick, Clint Wilbanks, Shandy Dill, Marshal Morgan, and Mack Phifer. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Hardwick and Larry Hardwick.
