Billie Kathryn Lewis, 84, of Iuka, MS, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. Billie Kathryn enjoyed working in her yard and gardening, reading, and volunteering at Iuka Baptist Clothes Closet. She was a member of Iuka Baptist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a registered nurse for 44 years and was the first registered EMT in Tishomingo County. Billie is survived by her daughter, Shelia Hudson (Barney); her sons, Jeffrey Lewis (Stephen) and Joel Lewis (Monica); her sister, Dot Hannon; her grandchildren, Leah Hanks (Ken), Samantha Lewis, Madeleine Lewis, Adrienne Lewis, Jackson Lewis, Andrew Lewis, and Charles W. Lewis; and her great-grandchildren, Alex Hanks and Noah Hanks. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Franklin and Ruby Blackard Milligan; her first husband, Libern Akers; her second husband, Charles Lewis; and her son-in-law, James Bates. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, December 23, 2021, from 11:00 A.M. until 11:45 A.M. at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Services are scheduled for 12 Noon on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Oak Grove Cemetery. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jackson Lewis, Wesley Lewis, Noah Hanks, Andrew Lewis, Alex Hanks, and Kenny Carson. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Hannon, John Hannon, Danny Bean, Earl Carson, and Doug Cutshall. Donations may be made in Mrs. Billie Kathryn's honor to the Iuka Baptist Church or to the Food Depot. An online guestbook may be accessed at www.cutshallfuneralhome.com.
