Beulah Martha McDaniel, a beloved matriarch, was born on July 22, 1927, and left this world to join her heavenly home on January 20, 2025, at the remarkable age of 97. Known affectionately as Mother, MawMaw, and Boo, Beulah filled the lives of those around her with love and joy. She was an extraordinary mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, whose spirit of unconditional love and nurturing nature will forever echo in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
MawMaw's legacy is one of loving kindness and unwavering support. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she took immense joy in every moment spent with them, from cheering for her grandchildren at baseball and softball games to simply enjoying one another's company. She had a passion for cooking, a talent for cleaning, and found delight in tending to her garden. Her afternoons often included a good show, whether it was the Methodist hour, game shows, or the heartwarming episodes of the Golden Girls.
Beulah is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Martha “Crickett” Walters (Chad), her grandchildren Bridget Beals (Mark) and Chris Webb (Jennifer), and her great-grandchildren, who include William Page (Hali), Valerie Welford (Scott “Junior”), Kelsey Brumley, Gunnar, Zander, Miller, Decker, Sadie Webb, Kayden, Jonah, Madilynn, Mima, and Lazaro. She was also blessed with two great-great-grandchildren, Roland Scott and Sophia Page.
Her life was not without its sorrows; she was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Mendy Wallace; her siblings, including her brother, Tommy, and four sisters, Dorothy Flynn, Willodean Byrd, Grace Wadkins, and Sybil Bolton. Beulah also mourned the loss of the love of her life, Herbert McDaniel, her granddaughter Cammy Lynn Webb, and her grandson-in-law Erik Welford.
Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is caring for her arrangements. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., and to celebrate her life at Iuka Methodist Church on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at 1:00 P.M., with Bro. Christopher Webb officiating. She will be laid to rest in Cypress Grove Cemetery. Those carrying her to her final resting place will be pallbearers Brad Byrd, Randy Byrd, Mark Beals, and Junior Scott, with William Page and Gunnar Webb honored as honorary pallbearers.
