Bertha Jean Johnson Lewis

Bertha Jean Johnson Lewis passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 31, 2019 in her adopted hometown of Covington, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, L. R. Lewis Jr. Her parents Elmo Johnson & Ruth Walker Johnson and brothers Bill Johnson & Leon Johnson.
She is survived by daughters Debra Jean Lewis & Mary Ann Lewis Miller and sons L. R. Lewis III(Sonny) and John David Lewis. Son-in-law Frank Miller and daughters-in-law Cindy Otillio Lewis(Sonny) and Michele Lott Lewis(John) Grandchildren Chad Miller, Caleb, Micah, Jonathan, Gabrielle and Michael Lewis. Great-grandchildren Mia Miller & Elliot Lewis. Also included are nephews William Johnson & Eddie Johnson and nieces Shorty Johnson & Martha Johnson Robinson. And many other family members and friends. She was born in Iuka- owned a grocery store on Eastport Road, worked at the shoe factory & became a pastors wife. She lived in Yakima, Washington, Tucson, Arizona, Bay St Louis, Mississippi and St Bernard, Louisiana.
