Annie Mae Braddock Marlar, 80, of Burnsville, Mississippi, died on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Tishomingo Manor in Iuka. Annie Mae was born on February 4, 1942, to Thurman and Jewel Hall Braddock. She was a very loving and giving woman. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Annie Mae was a member of Antioch Baptist Church her whole life. She was a seamstress and worked at Winfield in Burnsville and at Corinth Furniture, which is where she worked until she retired. Years later, she came out of retirement to work at MTS Safety Productions in Belmont, where she sewed American made safety vests.
Annie Mae is survived by her son, Coney (Ann) Marlar of Iuka; her grandchildren, Stefanie (Brett) Carson of Corinth, Misty (Robi) Suitor of Rienzi, MJ (Sylvia) Marlar of Tishomingo, Jim Marlar of Burnsville, Amber (Scott) Derrick of Glen; and Ashley (Tim) Wren of Rienzi; her great-grandchildren, Isabella Carson, Bella Kate and Pacey Suitor, Marvin Marlar, Malachi McGee, Shyenne Freshour, Heaven, Aleczander, and Trinity Derrick, and Raylee and Parker Wren; her sisters, Janice Milligan of Burnsville and Laura Booker of Iuka; a special aunt and uncle, Shirley and George Pearson; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford “Junior” Marlar, Jr.; her sons, Clifford Eugene, Jim, and Dwight Adam Marlar; her sisters, Glenda and Kathy Wigginton; and her parents, Thurman and Jewel Hall Braddock. Cutshall Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
Visitation is scheduled from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Antioch Free Will Baptist Church. Services will be immediately after at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Bro. Malcom Garrett. Pallbearers include MJ Marlar, Jim Marlar, Brett Carson, Robi Suitor, Scott Derrick, and Tim Wren. Honorary pallbearers include Brandon Lambert, Dewey Wade Marlar, Joseph Marlar, and Russ Brown. Interment will follow in the Antioch Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
