Anita Faye Burcham

Anita Faye Burcham, 71, of Cherokee, Alabama, died in her home on Friday, September 23, 2022. Mrs. Burcham was a homemaker and loved to cook. She was a strong woman and beat breast cancer three times. She found joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. Mrs. Burcham is survived by her mother, Mary Louise Barnes Cox; her children, Felicia Schmucker (Jeremy) and Brian Whitaker; her brother, Ray Cox; her grandchildren, Kellee, Daniel, and Brooklyn Cornelius, and Laine White; her great-grandchild, Rowan White; and a host of other beloved family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Ray Cox; her first husband, Floyd Whitaker; and her second husband, Roger Burcham. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. A graveside service will follow in Cypress Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Drew Cox, Bradley Cox, Daniel Cornelius, Jeremy Schmucker, and Tucker White. Ray Cox will be an honorary pallbearer.
