Allen Gene Long

Allen Gene Long, 71, of Iuka, MS passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home. In his younger years he enjoyed riding his Harley and swimming. Gene also enjoyed traveling, doing word search puzzles, and eating chocolate, especially Reese's. He is survived by his nieces, Sandra Grimes Moore (John) and Carrie Grimes; his brother in law, Steve Grimes; a special friend, Larry Adams; and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Aline Hartley Long; his wife, Dolly Gayle Long; and his sisters, Johnnie Faye Long and Shirley Grimes. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. A private family burial will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at New Salem Cemetery, with burial to follow.
