Lillian Walker Carpenter

Lillian Walker Carpenter, 96, of Iuka, MS, died Friday, June 16, 2017, at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Carpenter was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist church and was baptized at age 93. She was a homemaker, and was known for her cakes, especially 7-Up cakes. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Snowdown Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. She is survived by one son, Joe Carpenter (Jane) of the United Kingdom; one daughter, Pat Carpenter Hite (Delbert) of Michigan; a niece and nephew that she raised, Sharon Lorge and Tommy Carpenter, both of Wisconsin; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Barbara Walker Balcom of Corinth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl H. Carpenter, and a daughter, Peggy Jean Daniel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Snowdown Cemetery Fund.
