Harry Joe Sikes, 81, of Corinth, MS, died Friday, May 26, 2017, at his residence after battling cancer for 2 ½ years. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 30, at The Central Church in Corinth, MS. Celebration of life service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 31, at The Central Church in Corinth, MS, officiated by Rev. Terry Harmon, II. Cutshall Funeral Home of Glen, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elsie Darlene Sikes; three daughters, Pamela Jolene Johnson (Robert), Tiffany Ann Harmon (Rev. Terry), and Tammy Jo Raciborski (Nathan); one sister, Vita Ruth Sharpe (Sonny); nine grandchildren, Jessica Banda (Alex), Michael Johnson (Tanya), Rebecca Jones (Andrew), Shyla Harmon, Brooke Harmon, Morgan Harmon, Truett Raciborski, Nevaeh Raciborski, and Natalia Raciborski; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Harry and Jessie Lee Hudman Sikes and his sister, Glenna Jane Sikes. Whether you knew him as: Harry, Harry Joe, Babe, Dad, Papa, Wagon Master, Bubba, or Cotton he was loved and admired by all. His did everything from driving a grain truck at 13 years of age to running the largest heavy haul and sand and gravel trucking companies in the state of Texas. His many hobbies include: hunting, fishing, flying, and restoring old cars. He also raced boats, cars, and motorcycles. He was larger than life which included him being 6’5” tall, however if asked he would tell you he was no taller than 6’3”. He will be greatly missed by all.
