Jerry Blackmun Hardin, 79, of Cherokee, AL, died Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at his residence. Mr. Hardin was a veteran of the U. S. Army, where he served as a sharpshooter. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also liked to cook and work in his garden. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 25, at Allsboro Cumberland Presbyterian Church, officiated by Bro. Don Thomas and Bro. Scott Sealy. Interment will follow in Allsboro Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. Pallbearers include Luther Bishop, Jason Morgan, Greg Hardin, Joe Hardin, Gordon Hardin, and Tommy Hardin. Honorary pallbearers include L. O. Bishop and Bruce Morgan. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 24, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Hardin; one son, Keith Hardin (Decinda); three brothers, Joe Hardin (Jeanette), Gordon Hardin (Glenda), and Tommy Hardin (Debbie); three sisters, Shelby Gene, Libby, and Beverly; a granddaughter, Kelsey Hardin; and several nieces and nephews.
