Joel Edward "Eddie" Woodruff

Joel Edward “Eddie” Woodruff, 81, of Iuka, MS, died Monday, April 17, 2017, at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home in Iuka. Eddie was a forester and spent most of his career working for West VACO. He enjoyed being involved with his church and was an active member of the Iuka Baptist Church. He had a heart for missions which was evident by his time spent with 8 Days of Hope and the mission trips he was involved with on the coast after Hurricane Katrina. Eddie was a Gideon and supporter of the Masters Mount Ministry. He enjoyed the time he spent singing with the Gospel Quartet. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family, being in the woods, and working outside in the yard. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Iuka Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Blake Kenaum, Bro. Ronnie Hatfield, and Bro. Johnny Hancock. The body will lie in state from 12:00 Noon until time of service. Interment will follow in New Prospect Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jeremy South, Adam South, Joe Curtis, Tyler Woodruff, Blake Kenaum, Herschel Shamblin, and Dylan Higginbottom. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Kay Woodruff; his daughters, Teresa South (Jerry) and Patty Kenaum (Gary); his son, Ronnie Woodruff (Debbie); his step-son, Marty Rutherford (Deborah); his brother, Joseph Woodruff (Shirley); his grandchildren, Jeremy South (Amy), Adam South (Tonya), Ashley Woodruff, Mikinzie Curtis (Joe), Blake Kenaum (Destiny), Laura Shamblin (Herschel), and Anna Higginbottom (Dylan); and his great grandchildren, Brennan South, Bailey South, Ayden South, Adelynn South, Tyler Woodruff, Collin Cook, Chloe Cook, Josiah Kenaum, Daniel Kenaum, Jane Kenaum, Harper Shamblin, and Isaiah Shamblin. He was preceded in death by his parents, James "Cleck" and Inez Woodruff; his first wife, Lois Nunley Woodruff; and his sister, Martha Hendrix.
