Irene Beatrice “Nanie” Whaley, 88, of Iuka, MS, died Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Whaley loved spending time with her friends and family and going to her grandchildren’s ballgames. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Visitation is scheduled from 2 P.M. until 4 P.M., Friday, April 14, 2017 at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. She is survived by her daughters, Jackie Meyer (Larry) and Lori Leverenz (Gus); her son, Stephen G. Whaley, Jr.; her sister, Gertrude Clarke; her grandchildren, Chris Meyer (Erin), Greg Meyer (Shonna), Katie Leverenz, Kristen Leverenz, Andrea Fusco (Samuel), and Kyle Whaley (Kelly); and her great grandchildren, Will, Jake, Leah, Max, Kyle, Cole, Ericka, Lainey, Landon, and Sophia. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Laura Richards; her husband, Stephen G. Whaley, Sr.; her son, Daniel Whaley; and her grandson, Stephen G. Whaley III.
